Women who repeatedly experience discrimination because of physical or mental impairment or because of their origin, age, or special life situation are most vulnerable to become victims of violence.
Many organisations and counselling centres lack the funding and staff resources to support these women adequately. Especially in rural regions, there are hardly any specialised facilities or counselling services.
FHK promotes the dialogue and cooperation with self-help initiatives in order to improve the situation of women who are affected by violence and in particular need of protection.
