The new edition of the FAQ reflects the status as of August 2020. In addition to adapting and updating existing content, the tool also addresses a multitude of new questions. This is in response, in particular, to the changed legal situation resulting from the "Orderly Return Act," the establishment of so-called anchor centers, and feedback from practitioners. The following has been added, among other things:
- What should be taken into account when receiving expert opinions from counseling centers/women's shelters?
- (New) ways out of tolerated status
- What does the creation of the so-called anchor centers mean for the refugees housed there?
- In the case of violence, can a residence requirement under Section 12 or 12a of the Residence Act be lifted even after the asylum procedure has been completed?
- What is the significance of the Istanbul Convention for the protection of refugee women?
