FHK Emergency Aid Fund forCosts in individual cases that are not covered by standard funding (e.g. admission of a woman with insecure residency). 

FHK Emergency Aid Fund: The FHK Emergency Aid Fund provides financial support to women's shelters and specialized counseling centers in cases where the costs of admitting and/or caring for a woman affected by violence (and her children) are not covered by regular funding. The Emergency Aid Fund finances needs ranging from €500 to €3.000.

FHK Children’s Fund: The FHK Children's Fund supports projects benefiting children in women's shelters. For KinderZEIT, you'll need to provide more information about the project when applying. The donation pots also differ, primarily in the amount of funding required:

• KinderRAUM for projects requiring funding of EUR 500 to EUR 3.000
• KinderZEIT for projects with a funding requirement of 500 to 5.000 EUR

No, it will not affect the chances of your application being approved if you are not willing to participate in public relations work in cooperation with the broadcaster RTL.

There is no deadline for the emergency relief fund, however, the funded projects should for the year 2025 be completed.  

Both Women's shelters & shelters as well as most Specialist advice centers can apply for support from the emergency aid fund.

The only requirement is membership in FHK. This includes all institutions that are members of the Arbeiterwohlfahrt (Workers' Welfare Association), Caritas, Diakonie (Diakonie), the Paritätischer Gesamtverband (Parity Association), or the Social Service of Catholic Women, as well as individual FHK members.

To apply for the FHK Emergency Aid Fund, you must answer the following questions or provide the following information:

• Project description (short case description)
• How much financing is needed?
• What are the donations needed for?
• Reason for need for financing?
• Are you willing to participate in public relations work on the topic of “Access for all – especially vulnerable groups” in cooperation with FHK eV?
• Why does donation improve the situation of those affected (and their children)? (Effect)

Allocation to a donation pot is determined based on the amount of funding required for the respective project. The three pots, KinderRAUM and KinderZEIT, support projects that primarily benefit children.

Yes, that is possible.

1. The process begins with a preliminary assessment. This check determines whether your women's shelter is eligible to participate. The preliminary assessment takes place here: For preliminary review The preliminary review is mandatory and is part of the application.

2. After successful preliminary verification of your eligibility, you will be automatically redirected and asked to create an account in the FörderApp.

3. For registration, information such as the name of the organization, contact person, bank account and also your proof of non-profit status is required.

4. The registration consists of three areas: organization, funding area (department/program) and needs (funding projects). 

5. After you enter your organization information under "Organization," your nonprofit status will be verified. The verification typically takes two to three business days; you will then receive an email.

6. After you have completed the "Organization" section, you can proceed directly with registration and complete the last two sections (Area of Funding / Needs).

Each application (KinderZEIT, KinderRAUM, Emergency Aid Fund) is assigned a funding number. You will receive this automatically after successful preliminary review. Please make a note of this number and do not share it with anyone else.

You can enter the funding number in your user account under the menu item “Application”.

Yes, this is mandatory. Each application requires a funding number. You must submit a separate application for each funding number.

The application will open in the FörderApp, and you will also receive an email containing the link to the application. The sender address is: no-reply-foerderapp@hausdesstiftens.org

Yes, all fields marked as mandatory must be completed in the grant application. The final opinion data at the end of the application is optional.

Yes, you can pause the funding application at any time and resume it later. Please note the application deadline.

Approval is usually granted within three weeks of submitting the application. Funds are usually disbursed within two to four weeks of approval.

Once your application is approved, you will receive a confirmation email stating the amount of funding. You will also be notified if your application is rejected.
