The project "Access for ALL Women" aims to facilitate access to information, counseling, and protection services for all women affected by domestic violence and to sensitize actors in the support system to the needs of particularly marginalized and vulnerable groups.
To improve the accessibility of FHK’s services, the website was reviewed www.frauenhauskoordinierung.de and the online database of women's shelters and counseling centers www.fh-suche.de We have implemented accessibility measures and taken measures to remove barriers. In the future, women who rely on screen readers, translations into other languages, easy-to-read content, or other assistive devices will also be able to access the content of the FHK website.
In addition, materials were produced that present the topic "What is a women's shelter?" in an understandable and accessible way. These include three information videos produced by FHK and presented in October 2023 at the FHK YouTube channel The videos explain in standard language, easy language and German Sign Language what forms of violence there are against women, what a women's shelter is and what life in a women's shelter is like. In addition, a information brochure Designed in standard German and easy-to-read German, and translated into Arabic, Persian, French, English, Ukrainian, and Turkish. FHK makes these brochures available to women's shelters, specialized counseling centers, and other organizations with contact with women affected by violence.
In cooperation with Lebenshilfe eV, 5000 flyers with easy-to-understand information about women's shelters in Germany were printed and distributed as inserts in the magazine "Teilhabe."
In collaboration with experts from the respective fields, we organize training courses that educate professionals in the field of violence protection against women on the specific needs and challenges of marginalized user groups such as migrant women, trans women, and women with disabilities.
