As part of the FHK project "Protection from Violence for Women and Complaints Management in Refugee Accommodations," employees at four locations in Germany developed complaint systems and implemented them together with residents. Based on these experiences, the manual "Complaints Procedures for Refugees in Accommodations: Recommendations and Materials for Implementation" was developed. In addition to documenting the process, it contains numerous practical tools and was made available to the public at a specialist event presented in May 2019.

The FAQ was created in cooperation with the Women's Shelter Coordination and bff eV and answers questions about the protection of refugee women and girls from violence.
It should be noted that legal regulations in this area often change. This FAQ reflects the status as of August 2020. The current, revised edition incorporates changes from the last three years, particularly those brought about by the “Second Act to Improve the Enforcement of the Obligation to Leave the Country” – also known as the “Get Out Act.”
It is also important to note that the FAQ does not replace legal advice and in many cases can only provide general information and initial guidance.
