In the preliminary project, FHK developed a comprehensive protection concept for digital violence. This protection concept was revised in the current project and now forms the basis of the portal.
The advantage of the now digital format is that content can be updated quickly at any time, allowing for rapid responses to technological developments and new risks. Furthermore, the portal provides access for target groups that were previously difficult to reach with traditional training formats. Users do not need any prior knowledge, enabling them to expand their understanding of digital violence in a low-threshold and flexible manner.
The portal offers a practical Textsearch EngineThe homepage and main menu are accessible. Any terms can be entered and refined using filters such as topic, language, target audience, or content type to quickly find relevant information.
There are many exciting and informative articles – for example, about different forms of digital violence, possible consequences for victims, or specific risk factors in cases of digital (ex-)partner violence. All articles are also available as PDF downloads. Technical concepts are explained in an easily understandable way and supported by clear illustrations. This leads to concrete steps that can contribute to the safety of victims.
Specifically for women's shelters, checklists, posters, and explanatory videos are available. These are supplemented by links to further information and a glossary that explains important terms in simple terms. Users can also contribute their own ideas and suggestions for content.
The portal is aimed not only at women's shelters and professionals working in violence prevention, but also at related professional groups such as the police and judiciary. An internal area is exclusively available to women's shelters.
The portal will be further expanded in the coming months and regularly supplemented with new content.
