Digital (ex-)partnership violenceThis jeopardizes the safety of women's shelters: If (ex-)partners stalk using tracking apps, malware, or GPS tracking, victims are not safe even after fleeing to a women's shelter. Because there are more and more forms of digital violence, the need for counseling, technical knowledge, and awareness is increasing. However, the support system, which has been chronically underfunded for decades, often lacks the time, resources, and specialized expertise to effectively address the digital dimensions of violence – despite considerable commitment.

Since 2019, the Women's Shelter Coordination Association (FHK) has been in charge Projects on digital violence through, including a pilot project on IT consulting in a women's shelter. In the online event on March 19, 2026 The FHK project team “Addressing Digital Violence in Women’s Shelters with Confidence” presents key findings and broadens the perspective to encompass the entire support system: What could a structural expansion look like that takes digital forms of violence seriously? What standards, collaborations, and resources are needed so that professionals in the support system can provide effective technical and psychosocial support to those affected?

The event is aimed at professionals from women's shelters, specialist counseling centers, youth welfare offices, the police and the judiciary, as well as anyone interested in digital violence and violence prevention. Participation is free of charge.
