Do you want to implement a project with children or young people in a women's shelter and still need funding? Then apply with your project to the FHK Funding Fund for Women's Shelter Children!
With the Funding fund for children in women's shelters – which was initiated by the Women's Shelter Coordination (FHK) and will be replenished from 2024 onwards through donations from the RTL Foundation – is intended to provide quick and easy financial support for temporary, educational projects for children and young people in facilities for the protection against violence against women.

What is promoted?
The fund can finance up to 150 temporary projects for children in facilities for the protection of women from violence, with up to €25.000 per project. Participating facilities receive a dedicated donation. Eligible projects are those that sustainably improve the lives of children and young people in facilities for the protection of women from violence, and are available in three different funding formats:
- Children's Room – Fixed-amount financing of acquisition, equipment, and renovation costs for the children's area (homework corner, youth room, child-friendly outdoor area, etc.)
- Children's TIME – Financing of micro-projects up to €5.000 for one-off or weekly educational activities (holiday camps, educational activities with children from women's shelters, excursions, etc.)
- Children's DREAM – Financing of model projects up to €25.000 in cooperation with partners in the social sector (daycare centers, schools, child/youth services, police, intervention centers, psychotherapy, etc.) that sustainably improve the socio-psychological support of affected children

Background
As part of the 2023 RTL telethon, the project "A Good Place for Children" was selected as one of 10 aid projects for children in difficult circumstances to receive donations to improve their living conditions. Starting in 2024, FHK eV will forward the collected donations to FHK member organizations in the form of a support fund for children in women's shelters.
